Cylindrical Elevator Shaft

PROJECT ROUND

Cylindrical Elevator Shaft

‍Location of Installation: Province of Treviso
Status: Completed
Product: Project Round

In a shopping center in the province of Treviso, we installed our Project Round elevator inside an outdoor helical staircase. The structure, consisting of five columns, is completed with natural-colored curved glass, framed on four sides, ensuring durability against infiltration. The Project Round elevator shaft can accommodate cylindrical or rectangular cabins; the client chose a rectangular cabin, so we adapted the landings by bringing them slightly inside the structure to connect with the floor doors and make them protected from the weather.
By using our Project Round, the client achieved a scenic effect, improving access to mall spaces and containing elevator system costs by using a standard system. The result is an elevator that combines aesthetics and functionality, enhancing the entire complex.

The Project Round elevator shaft is designed as a cylindrical structure with curved glass panes framed on four sides, ensuring durability and resistance against infiltration. This compartment could accommodate cylindrical or rectangular cabins; the client chose a rectangular cabin. To perfectly integrate the rectangular cabin into the cylindrical structure, we adapted the landings by bringing them slightly inside the structure. This arrangement allowed it to connect with the floor doors, making them protected from the weather and ensuring aesthetic continuity.

The elevator’s cylindrical shape and curved glass created a sense of exclusivity and luxury, a preponderant feature of our Project Round. Transparent glass not only improved the perception of space, but also the amount of natural light inside the cabin, providing a high-quality user experience and contributing to a bright and welcoming environment.

To ensure maximum protection and durability, the glasses were framed on four sides. This technical expedient ensured that the structure would withstand the elements while maintaining its refined and modern aesthetic over time. The rectangular cabin, chosen by the client, was perfectly integrated within the cylindrical structure, with slightly internal landings for greater protection and architectural continuity.

By using our Project Round, the client achieved an extraordinary scenic effect, improving access to the mall spaces and containing the cost of the elevator system by using a standard system. The result was an elevator that combined aesthetics and functionality, enhancing the entire complex. The luxurious effect and perceived exclusivity of the elevator helped elevate the mall’s image, offering visitors a unique experience.

The implementation of this Project Round elevator in a shopping center in the province of Treviso was an excellent example of how innovation and design can be combined to create aesthetically pleasing and functional solutions. The cylindrical shape and curved glass of the elevator shaft not only improved the accessibility and usability of the space, but also added a touch of luxury and sophistication. This project underscored our commitment to providing high-quality solutions that meet the aesthetic and practical needs of our clients.
