A concept was developed for a showroom in Milan to create a panoramic elevator shaft with continuous glass walls and stainless steel exterior cladding with a Scotch-Brite finish, designed as a central architectural element within a contemporary space dedicated to design and architecture.
The solution is designed to express a technical, minimalist and refined language, in which the transparency of glass and the materiality of satin-finished steel define a rigorous and controlled image. The elevator is not treated as a simple functional element, but as an integrated architectural object, capable of dialoguing with the space and characterizing its identity.

The concept is based on the continuous glass structure PROJECT STYLE, reinterpreted in an urban and contemporary configuration through the use of Scotch-Brite stainless steel cladding.
The elevator shaft develops in continuity with the landing balconies, integrating with them in a natural and coherent way. The glass balustrades help reinforce the visual continuity between levels, creating a fluid perception of the space while maintaining a high degree of formal lightness.
The structure is characterized by the material contrast with the surrounding walls, treated with rough finishes, which enhance by opposition the geometric precision, the cleanliness of the surfaces and the quality of the satin-finished steel. This dialogue between technical surfaces and more textural materials reinforces the architectural character of the intervention.

The design phase involved careful coordination between structure, materials, and architectural space, with the integration of 3D models within the showroom layout to ensure formal, proportional, and functional consistency.
Particular attention was paid to the relationship between the elevator shaft and existing architectural elements, particularly the landing balconies, glazed balustrades, and vertical surfaces. The PROJECT STYLE structure fits in as an ordering element of the space, without interrupting its visual continuity.
The transparency of the continuous glass amplifies the perception of verticality and natural light, while the reduction of visible metal elements helps to maintain an essential and highly contemporary image.

The structure will be built with continuous glass walls, adopting the Project Style system, an expression of an original and customized design. Construction, assembly systems and dedicated accessories are an integral part of the structure and the result of specific design.
It is carried out through highly industrialized processes, supported by dedicated equipment developed in-house, ensuring executive precision, uniformity of the final result and high quality control.
The use of stainless steel with Scotch-Brite finish enhances the quality of the materials and emphasizes the technical and minimalist character of the structure.
The visual continuity of the glazed wall is ensured by an interposition seal made by means of an extruded profile made of semi-transparent technical material, designed to integrate with the system and strengthen the overall lightness and transparency effect.

The result is a modern, rigorous and refined structure, perfectly consistent with the context of a showroom dedicated to design. The elevator shaft, characterized by continuous glass and satin-finished stainless steel, fits into the space as a measured but strongly identifiable architectural element.
The cabin inside the shaft is deliberately treated to achieve a “see-through” effect, which softens the perception of the technical component and reinforces the image of lightness and transparency of the whole. This approach contributes to making the elevator shaft an integral part of the space, without overlapping with it.
The dialogue between transparency, satin-finished metal surfaces and rough-finish materials creates an architectural balance based on controlled contrast, expressing quality of materials, construction precision and architectural integration.

This concept interprets Project Style as an evolved architectural tool, capable of adapting to contemporary contexts with high design content. Design, technology and quality of materials come together in a coherent, essential and recognizable solution.
The elevator shaft overcomes the role of a simple functional element, becoming an integral part of the exhibition space and a reference for urban and professional contexts in which minimalism, technical rigor and exclusivity represent central values.
